Recipe: Baileys Hot Chocolate






This recipe makes 2 cups of a comforting and very sweet hot chocolate, flavored with Baileys.






Recipe for 2 cups of hot chocolate

 

Required accessories:

 

  • Bowl or cul-de-poule

  • Hand whisk

 

Ingredients:

 

  • 340 ml of whole milk

  • 40 ml of 35% cream

  • 40 g of 58% semi-bitter Cacao-Barry couverture chocolate in pastilles*

  • 40 g of Callebaut milk chocolate in pastilles*

  • 30 ml of Baileys liqueur

  • Chocolate chips


Preparation:

 

  1. Place chocolate in a bowl;

  2. Bring milk and cream to a boil in a microwave or saucepan;

  3. Pour a little hot liquid over the chocolate and mix with a whisk to obtain a homogeneous semi-liquid paste;

  4. Stir in remaining hot liquid and Baileys;

  5. Whisk the mixture until foamy and pour into cups;

  6. Decorate with dark chocolate shavings*
